Job Description

As a Truck Driver Trainer, you will be responsible for all aspects of product training, driver best practices, including EHS training, and ensuring that both drivers and external customers adhere to the highest standards. You will deliver the driver training curriculum according to Air Products SA and Global policies, ensuring compliance with the Technical Training process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and maintain the Driver Curriculum Training through both paper and eLearning systems.
  • Conduct classroom and practical training as well as assessments for drivers and operators.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Technical Training Procedures.
  • Provide support to Bulk Distribution Technical Training.
  • Update and maintain training plans and records, both electronically and on paper.
  • Champion continuous improvement and BSP initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Grade 12/Matric qualification.
  • Qualifications: Formal training qualification, including Driver Training Assessor and Moderator qualifications, is desirable.
  • License: Valid, unendorsed Code EC Driver’s License with Dangerous Goods (PrDPd).
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years within the Gas Industry or Manufacturing/Petrochemical industries.
    • 5-8 years as a Technical Trainer/Truck Driver Trainer.
    • Experience in cryogenic, CO2 & packed gas cylinder fill operations is advantageous.
  • Skills: Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel and Outlook.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy is essential.
