About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Code 14 Driver to join our team, based at our Astral – Festive division. This role requires someone with a strong track record in ultra-heavy vehicle operation, particularly with Superlink/Interlink combinations, and the ability to meet the demands of a fast-paced working environment. Key Requirements:

 

Matric/Grade 12 qualification.

Valid Code EC driver’s license with PrDP.

At least 3 years’ experience operating ultra-heavy vehicles.

Minimum 3 years of experience driving Superlink/Interlink or combination vehicles.

Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts.

Proficiency in defensive driving techniques.

Experience in vehicle inspections, emergency procedures, and fire extinguisher operation.

Ability to ensure vehicle cost-efficiency and safe operation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Safely operate and prepare ultra-heavy-duty vehicles for trips.

Efficiently load, transport, and offload vehicles.

Handle all necessary trip documentation and perform any additional related tasks as required.

Follow supervisor instructions and adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Ensure housekeeping standards for the vehicle, uniform, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Maintain a safe driving record and adhere to safety protocols.

Successfully complete required evaluations, including medical assessments, USCS training, and a practical driving test.

Additional Requirements:

 

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Successful completion of induction and training processes, as well as a clean criminal record verification.
