Minimum Requirements:

Before attending the walk-in session, please make sure you meet the following criteria:

1. Valid Code 14 (EC) License:
   • Your Code 14 license must be at least 2 years old at the time of application.
   • If you’ve held a Code 10 license for at least 3 years, we will consider applications with a Code 14 that’s at least 1 year old.
2. Truck Driving Experience:
   • A minimum of 2 years of long-distance truck driving experience is required.
   • You must provide contactable references who can confirm your experience.
3. Professional Driving Permit (PDP):
   • Your PDP must be valid for at least 3 months from the date of your application.
4. Age Requirement:
   • Applicants should be between 25 and 65 years old.
5. Required Documents:
   • Original ID, valid Code 14 license, and PDP.
   • If you have a passport, please bring it along.

Application Process:

To streamline the process and ensure that your application is successfully considered, please bring all original documentation with you to the walk-in session. Failure to provide the necessary documents could result in the rejection of your application.

Testing Process:

If your application meets the minimum requirements, you will be invited to undergo a practical driving test. The test will evaluate your skill and safety in handling heavy-duty trucks, especially focusing on your ability to manage loads of 24, 30, or 36 tons. Be prepared to demonstrate not only your technical driving skills but also your knowledge of road safety and handling difficult conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

As a professional long-distance driver with us, you will be responsible for:

• Safe and timely transport of goods across long distances within South Africa.
• Efficient handling and management of a 24-ton, 30-ton, or 36-ton truck, ensuring that loads are secure and properly managed throughout the trip.
• Adherence to safety regulations, including road safety and company policies.
• Performing routine vehicle inspections to ensure your truck is in proper working order before each trip.
• Accurate record-keeping of driving logs and ensuring compliance with delivery schedules.
• Maintaining communication with dispatch teams for route updates and any unforeseen changes.

• Have the ability to work independently while managing long stretches of road time.
