Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Code 14 Driver to join our team in Botshabelo. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of ultra-heavy motor vehicles, including Superlink and Interlink combinations. Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Grade 12 / National Certificate.
  • License: Code EC driver’s license with a valid PrDP.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years of experience driving an ultra-heavy vehicle.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience with Superlink/Interlink combinations.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Ability to work weekends and public holidays.
    • Knowledge of defensive driving techniques.
    • Familiarity with emergency reporting procedures and defect identification.
    • Experience in vehicle inspections and fire extinguisher operation.
    • Ability to maximize vehicle efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
    • Understanding of proper vehicle loading and offloading techniques.
    • Reliable transport to and from work.
    • Clean criminal record and medically fit.
    • Must reside in Botshabelo or surrounding areas (Belgie, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Operations:
    • Prepare vehicle for trips and conduct pre-trip inspections.
    • Drive and operate ultra-heavy-duty vehicles safely.
    • Maintain a safe driving record in compliance with company policies.
  • Load Transportation:
    • Oversee the loading, transportation, and offloading of goods.
    • Ensure cargo is properly secured for transport.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
    • Handle trip documentation and maintain accurate records.
    • Adhere to SOPs and safety procedures at all times.
  • General Duties:
    • Follow all reasonable instructions from the supervisor.
    • Maintain proper housekeeping of vehicles, uniform, and PPE.
    • Participate in training and induction processes, including:
      • Medical evaluation.
      • USCS training modules.
      • Practical driving evaluation.
      • Verification of a clean criminal record.
