We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Despatch Supervisor to join our team at Rainbow Rustenburg. The successful candidate will oversee the entire despatch function, ensuring efficient planning, coordination, and management of daily operations.
This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure tasks are executed effectively and on time, while managing a team to achieve operational excellence.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification
- Tertiary qualification in Logistics/Transportation Management (or studying towards) is advantageous
- 2 years of supervisory experience in the Transport industry
- Operational and administrative experience
- Hands-on involvement in all areas of the business
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid Code 14 driver’s license (advantageous)
- Analytical, proactive, organized, and innovative mindset
- Computer literacy (MS Office and Outlook)
- Own reliable transport
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist management in administrative tasks and supervise driver activities
- Conduct briefing and debriefing of drivers (loading and off-loading)
- Schedule loads efficiently
- Analyze tacho and trip sheets, dispatch vehicles, and monitor progress and utilization
- Ensure compliance with operational standards and safety protocols
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders
