About the Position

Unitrans is seeking a qualified and experienced Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver to join its Consumer Division at Quantum Farm Services in Krugersdorp. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transportation of goods, products, and materials to various destinations while ensuring compliance with company policies and road safety regulations.

This role is ideal for a professional driver with a valid Code 10 licence and PrDP who has experience operating heavy vehicles and maintaining accurate transport documentation.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Valid Code 10 driver’s licence
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar driving role
• Own reliable transport to and from work
• Medically fit
• Clear criminal record

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing vehicles before departure
• Loading and offloading goods safely and efficiently
• Operating heavy-duty vehicles in accordance with road safety regulations
• Conducting vehicle inspections before and after trips
• Managing and handling delivery documentation from dispatch through to customer delivery and return to the distribution centre
• Ensuring all transported goods are accounted for and delivered correctly
• Taking full responsibility for the roadworthiness of the vehicle before leaving the depot
• Following company procedures and safety standards at all times
• Working shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required
• Carrying out any additional duties assigned by management
