JOB SUMMARY

Tharisa Minerals is looking for an experienced Bus Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for employees and company resources between work sites and other authorised locations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the bus safely, conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining the vehicle and ensuring compliance with company procedures, road traffic regulations and Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Driver’s Licence Class 1.
• Minimum 5 years’ bus driving experience.
• Good knowledge of safe driving practices.
• Knowledge of applicable road traffic regulations.
• Strong safety awareness.
• Ability to follow routes, schedules and instructions.
• Honest, reliable and responsible.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to maintain basic transport and trip records.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate the company bus along approved routes and schedules.
• Transport employees responsibly between work sites and authorised locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checking brakes, tyres, lights, oil, water and general vehicle condition.
• Maintain the cleanliness and housekeeping of the bus.
• Report mechanical faults, accidents and incidents immediately to the relevant supervisor.
• Comply with road traffic regulations and company SHE standards.
• Maintain accurate records relating to trips, fuel usage and incidents where applicable.
• Ensure passengers arrive safely and on time.

• Support efficient transport and logistics operations.
• Follow company requirements relating to vehicle use, mileage tracking, parking and secure vehicle storage.
• Assist with loading and offloading activities where required, while following safety procedures.
• Report any vehicle or passenger-related safety concerns promptly.
