Job Overview

VKB Group is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Code 14 Driver to join its Distribution Centre in Bethlehem, Free State. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting and delivering goods on time, maintaining accurate stock control during loading and offloading, minimising operational risks and providing professional customer service.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong communication skills, personal resilience and a commitment to safe driving, compliance and efficient delivery operations.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric or NQF Level 4 qualification.
• Valid Code 14 driver’s licence.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar driving role.
• Experience in the agricultural industry will be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness.
• Ability to contribute to continuous improvement in daily operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver goods safely and within the required delivery schedules.
• Minimise risks to the company by complying with road traffic regulations and operational procedures.
• Report all incidents and accidents to Management promptly.
• Monitor stock during loading and offloading to ensure accurate quantities and prevent losses or discrepancies.
• Verify goods handled during deliveries to maintain stock control accuracy.
• Provide professional customer service and maintain positive client relationships.
• Complete delivery documentation and other job-related administrative tasks accurately.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures and compliance requirements.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support efficient distribution operations.
