Job Overview

Clinix Health Group is seeking responsible and professional Drivers to join the team at Solomon Stix Morewa Memorial Private Hospital in Johannesburg.

The successful candidates will be responsible for safely transporting patients, customers, employees and other resources to and from Clinix hospitals and facilities. The role requires excellent driving skills, sound knowledge of traffic regulations, professional customer service and strict adherence to vehicle safety and security procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
• Valid Code 10 driver’s licence.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Previous driving experience will be advantageous.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Vehicle Inspections and Maintenance

• Conduct daily pre-trip inspections to ensure allocated vehicles are roadworthy and comply with the National Road Traffic Act.
• Complete daily vehicle inspection sheets and logbooks accurately.
• Report maintenance requirements and vehicle defects to the Fleet Administrator or Group Fleet Manager.
• Refill fuel, diesel, oil and coolant in accordance with Group Fleet Management procedures.
• Update the Fuel Card Register as required.
• Ensure vehicles are fuelled before weekends and public holidays.

Transportation and Service Delivery

• Transport patients and customers safely and efficiently.
• Transport employees and other resources between Clinix facilities when required.
• Prioritise transport requests to improve time management and fuel efficiency.
• Provide professional and courteous service to patients, customers, employees and other stakeholders.
• Comply with all traffic laws and regulations and avoid traffic violations.

Vehicle Security

• Park vehicles in secure company facilities and ensure they are locked when unattended.
• Follow company security standards when parking vehicles outside Clinix facilities.
• Store vehicle keys in the designated secure storage area.
• Keep an updated list of emergency contact numbers visible inside the vehicle.

Accident Reporting and Administration

• Notify the Fleet and EMS Manager whenever a company vehicle is involved in an accident.
• Report accidents to the South African Police Service (SAPS) within 24 hours and obtain a case number.
• Complete an accident or incident report on the day the incident occurs.
• Complete all required administrative records and vehicle documentation.
• Maintain accurate logbooks, inspection sheets and fuel records.
