About the Role

As a Driver (Code 10) at Sunshine Seedling Services, you will be an integral part of our operations, ensuring the efficient and safe transportation of stock and personnel. Your role will involve a variety of tasks, from driving vehicles between nurseries to assisting with stock loading and offloading. This position requires a detail-oriented, safety-conscious individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties will include the following:

1. Transportation Duties:
   • Safely transport stock to clients, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
   • Facilitate the movement of stock between nurseries within the TWK Agri network.
   • Transport personnel to various locations as required.
2. Loading and Unloading:
   • Assist with the loading and offloading of stock as needed, ensuring goods are handled with care.
   • Complete necessary paperwork related to stock transfers, ensuring accurate documentation during loading and delivery processes.
3. Safety and Compliance:
   • Adhere to all road safety regulations to ensure a safe driving environment.
   • Maintain the vehicle in good condition, conducting routine inspections and reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
4. Customer Service:
   • Interact professionally with clients during stock deliveries, representing Sunshine Seedling Services with a positive attitude.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education:
  • Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• Experience:
  • At least 2 years of experience in stock transportation.
  • Previous experience in the agricultural sector will be advantageous.
• Licensing:
  • Valid Code 10 driver’s license with a valid PDP.
  • Code 14 license is an added advantage but not a requirement.
• Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong literacy skills, with the ability to read and complete paperwork accurately.
  • Effective communication skills, with proficiency in English.
  • Physically fit and willing to assist with manual tasks, such as loading and unloading.
  • Willingness to reside on the farm if required.
