Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Code 10 Driver to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be delivering fresh vegetables to clients while ensuring timely, safe, and professional service. You will also maintain the truck in excellent condition and adhere to road safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a Code 10 truck for scheduled vegetable deliveries.
  • Ensure the truck is regularly inspected and properly maintained.
  • Accurately complete delivery notes and associated documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with clients regarding delivery schedules and requirements.
  • Follow delivery routes and adhere to all traffic and road regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements

Mandatory Requirements

  • Valid Code 10 driver’s license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience.
  • Thorough understanding of local routes and traffic regulations.
  • Physically capable of loading and unloading goods.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience in delivering perishable goods such as vegetables or food products.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and adaptability.

Work Details

Environment

  • Local delivery routes serving clients in the Donkerhoek and Rayton areas.
  • Work may require occasional extended hours based on delivery schedules.

Hours & Leave

  • Working Hours: 40–45 hours per week.
  • Leave:
    • 1 day of leave for every 17 days worked.
    • 30 sick leave days over a 3-year cycle.

Notice Period

  • 1 week: For employment under 6 months.
  • 2 weeks: For employment between 6 months and 1 year.
  • 4 weeks: For employment over 1 year.

Compensation

  • Monthly salary based on qualifications and experience.
  • Bi-weekly payment schedule.
