Key Responsibilities
1. Stock Management
- Ensure correct stock is loaded onto the delivery vehicle as per the Invoice/Picking List.
- Deliver stock accurately to customers, adhering to the invoice specifications.
- Manage buy-backs and returns in line with claim and uplift documentation.
- Accurately record returned or damaged stock on the Handheld Computer Device (HHC) and ensure it is returned to the Debriefer.
2. Vehicle Maintenance and Cleanliness
- Perform routine checks and maintenance activities as per PepsiCo policies.
- Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle, both interior and exterior, at all times.
3. Customer Interaction and Documentation
- Obtain clear Proof of Deliveries (PODs) from customers in line with company policies.
- Communicate effectively with customers, ensuring a positive service experience.
4. Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Adhere to Health, Safety, and Security Regulations, including PPE compliance.
- Follow all road traffic regulations and ensure strict adherence to pre-planned route schedules.
5. Team Collaboration
- Manage and supervise the delivery assistant to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential Qualifications
- Matric Certificate (Grade 12).
- Valid Code 14 Driver’s License (EC) with PDP.
Experience and Skills
- At least 2 years of experience as a driver, particularly with horse and trailer vehicles.
- Proficiency in using Handheld Computer Devices (HHC).
- Strong ability to deliver results under pressure and adapt to workplace changes.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers.
