Position Overview

We are seeking skilled Code 14 Drivers to join our team. This role involves transporting goods to various clients while maintaining the highest safety and operational standards. If you have experience operating ultra-heavy vehicles and are passionate about delivering excellent service, this opportunity is for you.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare the vehicle for trips, ensuring it is roadworthy and fully operational.
  • Transport, load, and offload goods while adhering to company standards.
  • Secure loads in compliance with the National Road Traffic Act to ensure safe transit.
  • Operate or oversee the use of offloading equipment when necessary.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, identifying and reporting any defects.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and submit it on time.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and proper housekeeping of assigned equipment.
  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients.
  • Carry out any additional duties as instructed by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

  • Educational Qualifications:
    • Grade 12/Matric or equivalent Senior Certificate.
    • Grade 10 literacy (verbal and numerical).
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • Valid Code EC driver’s license with a valid PrDP (DGP).
    • Defensive driving certification is advantageous.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience driving ultra-heavy vehicles.
    • Proven ability to manage vehicle inspections, loading techniques, and reporting emergencies.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Must be 25 years of age or older.
    • Available to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts.
    • Clean criminal record and safe driving history.

Additional Evaluations

Successful candidates must complete the following:

  • Medical evaluation.
  • USCS training modules.
  • Induction and practical driving evaluations.
  • Verification of a clean criminal record.
