Job Description:

Food Lovers grocery store in Gqeberha is seeking experienced Code 14 Drivers to join their team on a permanent basis. As a key player in our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering goods to customers safely and on time. We are looking for someone who is punctual, hardworking, and a great team player.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and checks.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods to the correct destinations.
• Report any vehicle defects or issues to supervisors.
• Load, unload, and secure items for safe transport.
• Verify delivery instructions and obtain proof of delivery.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Maintain accurate records of invoices, fuel slips, and working hours.
• Ensure vehicle safety standards are followed, including correct tyre pressure.
• Keep the vehicle’s license disk visible and valid.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean and properly maintained.
• Report any road incidents, accidents, or violations.
• Verify the quantity of loaded goods before departure.

Preferences:

While not mandatory, the following preferences will enhance your application:

• Experience with various truck brands and sizes.
• Familiarity with long-distance driving.
• Health and fitness requirements for long-distance driving.
• Experience using GPS and navigation systems.
• Familiarity with different truck gearboxes.
• A valid PrDP (Professional Driving Permit).
