Job Description:

SA Metal Group is seeking dedicated and skilled Code 14 Truck Drivers to join our Transport Department. As a Code 14 Truck Driver, you will be responsible for driving various Code 14 vehicles and ensuring the safe transportation of materials and equipment. This role is essential in maintaining our commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle and Load Management: Responsible for the safe operation of the vehicle and securing the load.
• Vehicle Inspections: Conduct daily inspections and report any faults.
• Loading and Off-Loading: Handle the loading and off-loading of various materials and equipment.
• Compliance: Adhere to the Road Traffic Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Navigation: Navigate efficiently within the Gauteng area.
• Safety: Ensure the safety of other road users and abide by company policies.

Qualifying Experience:

• Education: Minimum of a Grade 12 certificate.
• Licensing: Valid, unendorsed Code 14 license with a valid PrDP.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience driving Code 14 vehicles.
• Skills:
  • Experience with manual gearboxes.
  • Experience in reversing a draw-bar trailer is required.
  • Operating a Mounted Grab Crane, skip, or RoRo is advantageous.
