Job Summary:

Unitrans is seeking experienced Professional Bus Drivers to join our team on a temporary basis. The role involves driving buses to transport passengers on scheduled services over established routes. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe arrival of passengers, controlling bus lighting, heating, and ventilation, and adhering to traffic laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive buses to transport passengers over designated routes.
• Control bus lighting, heating, and ventilation for passenger comfort.
• Ensure passengers arrive at destinations on time and safely.
• Adhere to prescribed speed limits, traffic laws, and company safety standards.
• Inspect buses for deviations from standards or malfunctions and report these to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and refueled bus at all times.
• Report any incidents, accidents, or property damage immediately.
• Complete log books and maintain accurate records of trips and hours worked.
• Follow all company policies, including the use of safety equipment like seat belts and wheel chocks.
• Participate in training and development sessions as required.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards passengers.

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualification: Grade 12 or equivalent, along with job-specific training.
• Driver’s License: Must hold valid CE – G, CE – PG, and C – G licenses.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Additional Skills: Mastery of defensive and preventive driving techniques, with a strong focus on safety.
