Job Overview:

Hendok Group, a prominent steel manufacturer in South Africa, is seeking a skilled and experienced Code 14 Driver for a permanent position in our Dispatch Department. This role is based in Airport Industria, Cape Town, and offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team responsible for transporting steel products to customers safely and efficiently.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • Code 14 Driver’s License: Must be valid and accompanied by a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
  • Crane License: An advantage, though not mandatory.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience driving Code 14 vehicles, with specific experience in superlink trailers.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English and Afrikaans is required.
• Geographical Knowledge: Familiarity with various routes within the Western Cape is essential.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Transporting Goods: Safely transport goods to customers across the Western Cape, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
• Loading & Offloading: Assist in the safe loading and offloading of trailers at customer sites, adhering to safety protocols.
• Warehouse Support: Be prepared to assist in the warehouse as needed, contributing to team efforts and operational efficiency.
• Stock Management: Ensure that stock is stacked on trailers in a secure and safe manner, minimizing the risk of damage during transit.
