Job Summary

As a Code 14 Long Distance Driver, your primary responsibility will be transporting cargo, including containers, breakbulk, tautliners, and dry bulk tankers, across long distances. This role requires exceptional driving skills, attention to detail when loading and securing cargo, and a deep understanding of safety protocols, especially when handling hazardous materials (HAZCHEM). You will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to various destinations.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Code 14 Driver’s License: Must have a valid Code 14 driver’s license with at least 5 years of long-distance driving experience.
  • PrDP (Professional Driving Permit): A valid PrDP is required for this role.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in long-distance driving.
    • Experience in loading and transporting containers, tautliners, or dry bulk tankers.
    • Expertise in handling breakbulk cargo, including items like coils, steel plates, beams, and pallets.
  • HAZCHEM Certification: Having HAZCHEM certification will be an added advantage for candidates who have experience transporting hazardous materials.
  • Attention to Detail: You must be familiar with loading procedures, securing cargo, and adhering to safety protocols during transportation.
  • Clean Driving Record: A solid, clean driving record with no major infractions is essential for this position.
