Anchor Yeast is offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled Code 14 Ultra-heavy Motor Vehicle Driver to join their logistics team in Johannesburg. Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Preparation and Operation: You’ll be responsible for preparing and operating ultra-heavy vehicles, ensuring all pre-trip and post-trip checks are completed.
• Load, Transport, and Offloading: Safely load, transport, and offload goods as per schedule while ensuring efficiency in all operations.
• Documentation Handling: Properly manage required delivery documentation and handle ancillary duties as assigned.
• Follow Supervisor Instructions: Carry out all reasonable instructions from your supervisor to meet operational requirements.
• Shift and Weekend Work: You must be flexible and willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Safe Driving and Clean Record: Maintain a safe driving record and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.
• Housekeeping and Safety Procedures: Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle, uniform, and PPE, while strictly adhering to SOPs and safety procedures.

In this role, you’ll be a key player in our logistics team, handling deliveries across Gauteng, working closely with management, and contributing to the company’s overall efficiency.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Grade 12 Certificate: A minimum of Grade 12 or National Certificate is required.
• Code EC Driver’s License with PrDP: You must hold a valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s license with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
• 3 Years of Ultra-heavy Vehicle Driving Experience: At least 3 years of experience operating ultra-heavy vehicles, including Superlink, Interlink, or other combinations.
• Tanker Experience: Proven experience driving tankers will be an advantage.
• Willingness to Work Weekends and Public Holidays: Flexibility in your work schedule is essential.
• Defensive Driving Skills: Knowledge of defensive driving techniques and how to handle emergencies or vehicle defects is crucial.
• Vehicle Inspections: Ability to perform thorough vehicle inspections and handle fire extinguishers.
• Efficiency Focused: Ability to maximize vehicle cost-effectiveness and efficiency while ensuring the safety of all transported goods.
• Vehicle Loading and Offloading: Familiarity with vehicle loading and offloading techniques, ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
• Reliable Transport: You must have your own reliable transport to and from work.
• Clean Criminal Record: Applicants must have a clean criminal record.
• Medically Fit: You should be in good health to handle the physical demands of the job.
