Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent.
• Certified competency as a Dump Truck Operator.
• A valid Code 10 Driver’s License.

Required Experience

Candidates must have the following professional experience to qualify:

• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar dump truck driving role.
• Proven ability to drive for extended periods and willingness to travel frequently.
• Experience in planning and following efficient driving routes to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Knowledge of transportation laws and regulations and the ability to adhere to them.
• Willingness to work extra hours when required to meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

As a Dump Truck Driver at Ivanplats, your main responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring, recording, and reporting any machine deficiencies or operational issues promptly.
• Following lockout procedures to ensure safety.
• Loading and unloading materials in designated areas efficiently.
• Verifying material weights and quantities to ensure accurate deliveries.
• Operating large dump trucks to transport and dump materials such as sand, gravel, rock, or non-degradable waste.
