About the Role:

Lactalis South Africa is seeking a skilled Code 14 Tanker Driver to join the team at their Bonnievale Plant. This role is within the Tankers department, primarily responsible for loading milk from farms and processing plants. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience driving tankers in an FMCG environment and must hold a valid PrDP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tanker.
• Load milk from farms and plants while collecting necessary samples, receipts, load sheets, and relevant documentation.
• Properly couple and uncouple hoses, ensuring safe handling during milk pumping and transfers.
• Off-hook and hook trailers in safe locations, following standard procedures.
• Perform milk sampling and evaluation, including checking for foreign objects and temperature readings.
• Complete the alliserol test for every tank loaded on the farm.
• Maintain the cleanliness and management of the vehicle and its equipment.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and adhere to Food Safety, NOSA, and Health & Safety standards.
• Report any deviations to the supervisor and ensure compliance with road traffic regulations.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Qualifications: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Licenses: Valid Code 14 driver’s license and a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a tanker driver in the FMCG industry.
• Availability: Willing to work long distances, shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime as required.
• Communication: Fluent in English with strong interpersonal skills.
• Physical Requirements: Must be medically fit and comfortable working at heights.
