Are you an experienced Code 14 driver looking for a permanent position? PPC in Slurry, North West, is seeking a highly qualified Ultra-heavy Motor Vehicle Driver to join their Consumer Division. This position is ideal for drivers who are comfortable handling ultra-heavy vehicles and have experience with Superlink or Interlink combinations, particularly in the transport of dry bulk or cement products. This is a long-term role offering stability, growth, and a focus on safe, efficient operations.

Minimum Requirements:

To be eligible for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Grade 12 / National Certificate.
  • License: Valid Code EC driver’s license (Code 14) with a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
  • Experience:
    • 3 years of experience operating ultra-heavy-duty vehicles.
    • 3 years of experience with Superlink/Interlink combinations, preferably in dry bulk or cement transportation.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Defensive driving knowledge.
    • Experience with vehicle inspections, reporting emergencies, and operating a fire extinguisher.
    • Reliable transport to and from work.
    • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
    • Clean criminal record and medically fit.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Ultra-heavy Motor Vehicle Driver, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Vehicle Operation: Prepare and operate ultra-heavy-duty vehicles, ensuring they are roadworthy and safe.
  • Loading and Transport: Safely load, transport, and offload products, particularly dry bulk or cement.
  • Documentation: Manage all required trip documentation, ensuring it is accurate and completed on time.
  • Supervisor Instructions: Follow all instructions from your supervisor and adhere to company policies.
  • Shifts and Availability: Be prepared to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Safety and Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness of vehicles, uniforms, and PPE, and adhere to all safety procedures.
  • Training and Evaluation: Complete medical evaluations, training modules, induction processes, and practical driving assessments.
