What You’ll Be Doing:

• Fleet Management: Oversee the daily operations of our tipper fleet, ensuring every delivery is made on time and the fleet’s performance is maximized. You’ll ensure that our trucks run like clockwork, optimizing fleet utilization, and minimizing downtime.
• Operational Strategy: Develop and implement innovative strategies that improve operational efficiency and drive down costs. Whether it’s route optimization or reducing fuel consumption, your ideas will help shape the future of our operations.
• Fleet Maintenance: Stay on top of fleet maintenance schedules. You’ll work closely with the maintenance team to ensure all vehicles meet safety regulations, are roadworthy, and always ready for their next trip.
• Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of drivers, fleet controllers, and support staff. You’ll provide direction and mentorship to help them excel in their roles, ensuring a smooth operation from top to bottom.
• Compliance and Safety: Safety is at the heart of everything we do. You’ll ensure all operations comply with transport regulations and health & safety standards, maintaining a safe working environment for everyone involved.
• Stakeholder Management: Forge and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other key stakeholders. Your communication skills will ensure all partnerships run smoothly, and any issues are resolved efficiently.

What We’re Looking For:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, etc.).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management, preferably within the heavy-duty transport or logistics industry.
• Proven leadership and organizational skills, with a track record of managing large teams.
• Proficiency in fleet management systems and strong analytical abilities to monitor performance metrics.
• Strong understanding of South African transport regulations and health & safety protocols.
