Job Purpose:

The Supervisor Driver will be responsible for various tasks related to driving water tankers, ensuring the efficient delivery of water, transporting small plant equipment and materials, and overseeing on-site operations such as back-filling and spoil removal. This role involves both operational driving duties and supervising the performance and conduct of assigned staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving and Water Delivery: Operate water tankers for the purpose of delivering clean water to specified locations and sites. Ensure that tankers are always filled with clean water and ready for deployment.
  • Transportation: Transport small plant equipment and materials to and from work sites, ensuring safe and timely delivery.
  • On-Site Operations: Assist with site operations such as back-filling and spoil removal during project execution.
  • Maintenance and Reporting: Report any mechanical faults to the respective workshops and ensure that vehicles are properly maintained and safe for use.
  • Supervision: Manage, supervise, and monitor the performance and conduct of staff under your supervision, ensuring task accountability and workplace safety.
  • Documentation: Complete all internal transactional documentation and related forms required for the role.

Essential Requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: Minimum of Grade 10 or equivalent.
  • Driving License: A valid motor vehicle driving license (Code EC).
  • Professional Driving Permit (PrDP): A valid PrDP is required.
  • Crane Operation Certification: Valid certification for operating truck-mounted cranes.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educational Qualification: Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience: 3 years of relevant experience in a supervisory role is an added advantage.

  • Annual Salary: Between R 208,686.56 and R 270,896.51, depending on qualifications and experience.
