Job Title: International Class 2 Truck Drivers
Location: Zimbabwe

Cargo24 is actively looking for experienced and skilled International Class 2 truck drivers who are capable of safely and efficiently operating heavy-duty vehicles across international routes. Key Responsibilities:
- International Freight Delivery: Safely transport goods across borders, ensuring timely delivery to required destinations as per given instructions.
- Vehicle Operation: Competently handle heavy-duty trucks, including Tri-axle and Super Link trailers, with focus on proper vehicle maintenance and fuel efficiency.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all road and safety regulations, ensuring both personal safety and that of other road users, while following company guidelines.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of travel, deliveries, and any incidents encountered on the road.
- Customer Relations: Represent Cargo24 professionally when interacting with clients during deliveries.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any unexpected issues encountered during deliveries with proactive communication to the support team.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of professional truck driving experience is required.
- Extensive experience with Tri-axle and Super Link trailers.
- Familiarity with 16-speed manual gearboxes.
- Previous experience with DAF trucks is highly advantageous.
- Licensing & Certification:
- A valid Class 2 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- A valid passport for cross-border travel.
- Must have a Police Clearance Certificate issued within the last 3 months.
- Defensive driving certificate to ensure enhanced road safety practices.
- Must undergo and pass a drivers retest to verify driving competency.
- Health & Safety Requirements:
- Applicants must meet all medical requirements to operate as a truck driver and provide a valid medical certificate.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for compliance with current safety regulations.

Additional Skills & Competencies:
- Mechanical Understanding: Solid knowledge of truck mechanics, including the ability to identify and report issues early to avoid costly repairs or downtime.
- Navigation & Route Management: Ability to effectively plan routes to ensure on-time delivery, taking into account border crossings and other logistical factors.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication with dispatchers and team members, providing regular updates on delivery progress or any road issues.
