Job Overview
Are you an experienced code 10 Reach Truck Driver with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety? We’re looking for a dedicated Reach Truck Driver to join our warehouse team in Brackenfell South, Western Cape. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently moving stock within our facility, from the receiving area to the inventory floor, while ensuring a safe and organized work environment. Reporting directly to the Inventory or Outbound Manager, you’ll be a key player in our daily warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities
Your main duties as a Reach Truck Driver will include the following:
- Moving Stock from Receiving to Inventory
- Safely operate a reach truck to transport stock from the receiving area to designated sections in the inventory warehouse.
- Ensure items are moved efficiently and accurately to their assigned storage locations.
- Put-Away Tasks
- Accurately allocate incoming inventory into designated warehouse areas.
- Organize and put away received stock in a timely manner to ensure items are easily accessible for future use.
- Replenishment Duties
- Monitor inventory levels in picking areas and replenish stock as needed to prevent disruptions in order fulfilment.
- Deliver required goods from the inventory to the picking bay, aiding pickers with bulk orders.
- Bulk Picking Assistance
- Work closely with pickers to facilitate bulk picking by delivering the correct items and quantities to the checking bay.
- Inventory Support and Stocktaking
- Assist the inventory team in conducting regular stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Help maintain an accurate and up-to-date record of stock within the warehouse.
- Daily Equipment Checks
- Complete a daily checklist for the reach truck, inspecting it for safety and operational readiness before each shift.
- Report any issues or damages with the truck to supervisors immediately to ensure safe operations.
- Maintain Cleanliness and Safety
- Keep your work area organized and clear of any obstructions.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, optimizing space utilization to create an efficient warehouse environment.
- Damage Reporting
- Promptly report any damages to goods or equipment to the supervisor to maintain inventory quality and minimize losses.
- Team Collaboration
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors and colleagues, ensuring smooth workflow across all warehouse operations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a supportive work environment.
- Inventory Scanning and Tracking
- Use handheld scanners to record inventory movements, helping maintain accurate inventory tracking and data recording.
- Efficient Work Practices
- Ensure speed and accuracy during peak periods, working efficiently to meet time-sensitive requirements.
Required Qualifications and Skills
To be considered for this role, you will need the following:
- Education: Matric (Grade 12)
- Certification: Valid Reach Truck Driver’s License
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of reach truck driving experience in a warehouse setting
- Language: Proficiency in English
- Physical Proximity: Must reside within a 25km radius of the job location in Brackenfell South
- Clear Criminal Record
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications and experience will be advantageous:
- Experience in Warehouse Operations: Previous experience in a warehouse environment, especially in using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment, is beneficial.
- South African Citizenship: Preference will be given to South African candidates.
