Purpose of the Role

The primary objective is to ensure safe, prompt, and efficient delivery services to clients while maintaining the quality and quantity of items. The role involves preventing damages, maintaining the vehicle, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivery Operations:
   • Deliver goods to clients promptly and safely.
   • Ensure accurate quantities and supplies during delivery.
   • Secure authorisations for delivery notes.
   • Collect COD (Cash on Delivery) payments as required.
2. Vehicle Maintenance:
   • Conduct daily vehicle inspection checks.
   • Report any defects or issues with the vehicle.
   • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle.
   • Minimise vehicle-related costs through proper use and care.
3. Loading and Packing:
   • Supervise and assist with the loading process.
   • Ensure the vehicle is neatly packed to prevent damages and breakages.
4. Customer Service:
   • Provide excellent service to clients, upholding the company’s values and culture.

Job Requirements

• Education: Grade 12.
• Licenses:
  • Code 10 (Heavy Vehicle) or Code 8 (Light Vehicle) licenses.
  • Vehicle capacity: <3501 kg to <9000 kg.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
