Position Overview

We are seeking a Code 10 Driver Salesman to join our Witbank DC Bread team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the timely delivery of goods to our customers while promoting and maintaining exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities

As a Driver Salesman, your primary duties will include:

Timely and Accurate Deliveries

• Ensuring goods are delivered to customers on schedule.
• Verifying orders for accuracy before delivery to avoid shortages or errors.

Financial and Route Accountability

• Managing money collected on routes in accordance with company policies.
• Balancing and reconciling delivery books accurately.
• Being fully accountable for the route and minimising discrepancies or shortages.

Customer Service Excellence

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
• Providing excellent service by identifying gaps or opportunities in the local market.
• Acting as the primary contact between customers and the relevant sales representative.

Operational Efficiency

• Practising effective crate control to minimise losses.
• Liaising with the sales team to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
• Maintaining and managing delivery vehicles in compliance with company standards.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

Educational Qualifications:

• Matric or NQF Level 3 qualification.

Licensing and Certifications:

• Valid Code 10 Driver’s License with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).

Skills and Attributes:

• Strong mathematics skills to manage reconciliations and account balances.
• Excellent communication skills in at least two official South African languages, with English as a must.
• A customer-centric mindset with a good understanding of client needs and service expectations.
• The ability to identify and leverage opportunities in the market.
• A proactive and organised approach to managing routes, finances, and crates.
