Job Overview:

BME, a division of Omnia, is seeking a skilled Code 14 Driver with a Dangerous Goods Permit to transport used oil and raw materials within and outside the site. The ideal candidate will have experience in trucking, production, and explosives environments, ensuring safe and efficient delivery while adhering to safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely drive and transport products/raw materials within and outside the site.
• Collect and deliver used oil to designated locations.
• Perform packaged distribution assistant duties as required.
• Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Follow SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality) regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
• Valid Code 14 driver’s license with a Dangerous Goods Permit.
• Minimum 3 years of truck/tractor driving experience.
• 1 year experience in a production environment.
• 1 year experience in an explosives environment (advantageous).

Key Competencies & Skills:

• Strong truck driving skills under all road conditions.
• High level of safety and quality consciousness.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills (advantageous).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
