🛣️ Job Overview

As a Long Haul Driver, your primary responsibility is to transport bulk and bagged goods between business units or to assigned customers. You’ll be operating heavy-duty vehicles (up to 23 tonnes) and must ensure safe, clean, and efficient delivery practices — all while representing PepsiCo’s core values of reliability, sustainability, and safety.

🚛 Key Responsibilities:

• Safely deliver bulk and bagged bakery products over long distances.

• Ensure zero driver-related product defects during transport.

• Maintain fuel usage in line with expected consumption rates.

• Conduct daily inspections on tyres, lights, water/oil levels, and trailer couplings.

• Keep the truck in top condition — clean, safe, and well-maintained.

• Report all vehicle defects and assist with first-line fault-finding (e.g. tyre changes).

• Be available via cell phone for work-related communication.

• Avoid all traffic/speed-related fines and adhere to all road safety rules.

• Demonstrate responsibility, punctuality, and honesty on every trip.

📋 Minimum Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 Certificate

• Valid Code 14 Driver’s Licence

• Ability to drive long distances safely and efficiently

• Familiarity with basic mechanical fault diagnosis

• Must be alert, honest, and physically fit for extended hours on the road

• No prior driving-related offences or major traffic violations
