Job Summary:

A leading chemical company is seeking a high-calibre Code 14 Driver to join its team in Rustenburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for vehicle preparation, safe operation of heavy-duty vehicles, and handling documentation throughout delivery trips.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 10 or equivalent literacy level

• Code 14 Driver’s License with valid PrDP (EC1)

• Minimum 5 years of articulated driving experience (semi-trailer & double combination)

• Experience in bulk chemical transport

• Long distance and cross-border driving experience

• Defensive driving skills

• Familiarity with Eaton Fuller and ZF gearboxes

• Medically fit and clean criminal record

• Strong knowledge of the Road Traffic Act

• Ability to operate fire extinguishers and conduct vehicle inspections

• Understanding of load securing and vehicle efficiency practices

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare vehicles for trips and conduct pre/post-trip inspections

• Operate heavy-duty vehicles safely and efficiently

• Complete and manage delivery documentation

• Ensure accountability for transported goods

• Report vehicle defects and respond to emergencies appropriately

• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols

• Be available to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed

• Adhere to instructions from supervisors
