Job Overview:

RCL Foods is seeking a reliable and experienced Code 10 Staff Bus Driver to join our operations team in Rustenburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting staff along designated routes, ensuring all passengers arrive safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Passenger Transport: Safely drive buses along assigned routes, adhering to schedule and maintaining regular stops.

• Safety Compliance: Conduct daily vehicle checks, reporting any mechanical issues and performing minor repairs as needed.

• Customer Service: Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, ensuring a comfortable and safe journey.

• Vehicle Maintenance: Keep the bus clean, well-maintained, and in roadworthy condition.

• Incident Reporting: Handle passenger emergencies, report delays, accidents, and other incidents promptly.

• Time Management: Ensure that all scheduled pick-ups and drop-offs are carried out on time.

• Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with dispatch and passengers.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Grade 12 (Matric)

• License: Valid Code 10 Driver’s License with PDP

• Experience: At least 2 years’ proven experience as a bus driver with a clear driving record.

• Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong knowledge of traffic laws and road safety regulations

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor bus issues

  • Ability to work under pressure and follow schedules

  • Organised and able to use own initiative
