🔍 Position Overview

Impact HR is urgently hiring a Dangerous Goods Driver to join our logistics team in Blackheath, Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe transport of hazardous materials, ensuring full compliance with legal regulations and company policies. This is a contract-based position offering a competitive hourly rate of R50.


🚨 Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a commercial truck carrying hazardous/dangerous goods

  • Perform daily vehicle inspections, including checking brakes, lights, tyres, and fuel

  • Load and unload dangerous goods using PPE and correct handling procedures

  • Ensure all dangerous goods transport documentation is completed correctly

  • Adhere to South African Road Traffic Act and Hazchem regulations

  • Communicate clearly with dispatch and site managers regarding delivery progress

  • Maintain a clean, organised and compliant vehicle


Minimum Requirements

  • Valid Code 10 or 14 Driver’s Licence with Hazchem / Dangerous Goods endorsement

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience operating commercial or heavy goods vehicles

  • Good knowledge of hazardous material transport regulations

  • Clean driving record – no major traffic offences

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50kg safely

  • Good physical fitness, especially for long shifts and varying weather conditions
