Unitrans, a trusted leader in the transport and logistics industry, is looking for a skilled and responsible Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver (rigid) to join their Quantum Farm Services operation in Bronkhorstspruit, Gauteng. This opportunity is ideal for experienced drivers who pride themselves on professionalism, safety, and service excellence.


📝 Job Purpose

To safely and efficiently operate a rigid heavy vehicle (up to 16 000kg) for the transport of goods, products, or materials to and from specified destinations, while ensuring compliance with road safety and Unitrans operational standards.


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

  • Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence (Code 14 will be advantageous)

  • Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)PrDP “D” required for Dangerous Goods

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience operating heavy vehicles

  • Must be medically fit

  • Clean criminal record

  • Must reside in or near Pretoria/Bergvlei

  • Own reliable transport to and from the workplace

  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays


🚛 Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and inspect the vehicle before and after each trip to ensure full roadworthiness

  • Operate rigid heavy-duty vehicles in compliance with traffic and safety regulations

  • Ensure all dispatch and delivery documentation is properly completed and returned

  • Accurately account for all goods in transit and report discrepancies immediately

  • Adhere strictly to assigned routes and schedules

  • Uphold company safety policies, including loading standards and vehicle checks

  • Take full responsibility for the condition and safety of the vehicle before leaving the depot

  • Execute all reasonable instructions from your Supervisor promptly and effectively

  • Maintain a professional attitude towards customers and team members at all times
