Code 10 Delivery Driver Vacancy in Bloemfontein

Econo Foods, a fast-growing FMCG retail company specialising in frozen food products, is seeking experienced and reliable Code 10 Delivery Drivers to join its team in Bloemfontein.

The successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring safe, timely, and accurate delivery of goods while maintaining high standards of customer service, safety, and professionalism.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 (EC) Driver’s Licence.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ driving experience.
• Experience in FMCG or retail distribution will be advantageous.
• Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Operations

• Safely operate assigned delivery trucks.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness.
• Deliver goods accurately and on time according to schedules.
• Maintain proper records of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery documentation.
• Report incidents, delays, or accidents as required.

Customer Service and Communication

• Communicate professionally with customers and warehouse staff.
• Address customer queries and delivery-related concerns promptly.
• Provide a friendly, professional, and service-oriented experience.

Vehicle Care and Compliance

• Report mechanical issues or maintenance requirements immediately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the delivery vehicle.
• Ensure all required documentation is available and properly managed.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.

Safety and Operational Standards

• Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE.
• Maintain compliance with operational and regulatory standards.
• Promote a safe working environment at all times.

Team Contribution

• Attend training sessions and team meetings.
• Support operational goals and team performance targets.
• Participate in coaching and development programmes.
