Job Overview

Voltex is seeking an experienced Code 10 Driver to join its Tzaneen branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient and timely delivery and collection of stock from customers while maintaining accurate delivery records and ensuring the vehicle remains roadworthy and compliant with safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy before each journey.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents and other issues to the Branch Manager immediately.
• Plan and navigate delivery routes to ensure efficient and timely trips.
• Load stock with the Dispatch Clerk and verify quantities against delivery documentation.
• Ensure delivered stock corresponds with the relevant delivery notes.
• Complete and submit all required delivery administration and reports.
• Obtain customer signatures as proof of delivery.

• Communicate professionally with customers and assist in resolving delivery-related queries or complaints.
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean and presentable.
• Monitor vehicle servicing requirements and advise the Operations Manager when servicing is due.
• Report delivery-related problems to the Branch Manager.
• Comply with all applicable safety and security regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent (required)
• Valid Code 10 driver’s licence
• Valid PrDP / PDP
• Minimum 3 years’ driving experience
• Familiarity with GPS navigation devices
• Knowledge of warehouse processes
• Knowledge of relevant safety standards and protective clothing requirements
