As an Owner Driver, you will play a critical role in Buffalo’s logistics operations, ensuring timely and professional deliveries to clients. This role combines entrepreneurial independence with the support of a reliable logistics partner.

Key Responsibilities
As an Owner Driver, your responsibilities will include:
1. Vehicle Maintenance
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections, servicing, and necessary repairs to ensure it is in optimal condition.
- Ensure your vehicle is equipped with safety features and complies with operational standards.
2. Safety Compliance
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe operation.
- Promote safety practices, including using appropriate safety equipment.
3. Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service by being punctual, professional, and courteous in interactions.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by handling deliveries efficiently and addressing client concerns promptly.
4. Documentation and Record-Keeping
- Maintain accurate records, including invoices, receipts, logbooks, and other relevant paperwork.
5. Financial Management
- Manage your finances effectively, including budgeting, invoicing, tracking expenses, and ensuring timely payments.
6. Time and Route Management
- Plan routes and schedules efficiently to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Use route planning tools and technology to ensure timely deliveries.
7. Industry Standards Compliance
- Adhere to all applicable industry guidelines and standards, including those related to freight handling and hazardous materials if applicable.
8. Effective Communication
- Maintain clear and responsive communication with dispatchers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Notify relevant parties of any delays or issues promptly.
Minimum Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Education and Experience
- Matric Certificate (Grade 12).
- A minimum of 6 years of driving experience with a valid driver’s license.
- Prior experience in the courier or logistics industry is essential.
Additional Requirements
- Must be 30 years or older.
- Basic technology knowledge and ownership of a smartphone.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Knowledge of route planning and time management.
- Own vehicle (preferred but not compulsory).
- No criminal record and willingness to undergo regular background checks.
