Salary Scale
- Basic Salary: R197,088.00 – R221,664.00 per annum (Level 10 of a Grade 04 Local Authority)

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Education
- Grade 10 Certificate is required.
Licensing
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license with PDP.
- A Code 14 driver’s license is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant driving experience in local government or a similar environment.
- Driving experience within the Parks Section will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
As a Truck Driver in the Parks Section, you will be responsible for:
1. Safety and Supervision
- Ensure the safety and productivity of the Parks Section team, preventing injuries and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Act as a supervisor over the Parks Section team, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
2. Driving and Maintenance
- Drive trucks safely in compliance with traffic laws and road safety regulations.
- Plan daily tasks and navigate efficiently between workplaces as directed by the Assistant Foreman or superior.
- Perform general maintenance of the truck to minimise breakdowns and damages.
3. Operational Support
- Assist tree-cutting teams with cutting and clearing branches to maintain a safe and neat environment.
- Perform other related ad hoc tasks as requested by management.
4. Administrative Duties
- Ensure all tasks and operations are recorded and reported according to municipal policies.
