Key Responsibilities

As a CDL A Yard Spotter/Driver with Lazer Logistics, you will:

• Safely Operate Company Vehicles: Including trucks and trailers, in compliance with all CDL regulations and Lazer’s guidelines.
• Transport Trailers: To and from designated locations in a timely and safe manner.
• Vehicle Inspections: Perform routine checks to ensure operational safety.
• Adhere to Safety Policies: Follow all company safety policies, as well as federal, state, and industry regulations.
• Proper Handling of Equipment: Ensure all equipment and products are handled properly in accordance with customer agreements.
• Effective Communication: Work closely with dispatchers, customers, team members, and third-party vendors.
• Maintain Accurate Logs: Keep detailed records of driving hours, routes, and any incidents that occur.

Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A: Essential for operating company vehicles.
• Proven Experience: Previous experience as a Class A CDL driver with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) driving record.
• DOT Physical and Medical Card: Must be current.
• Knowledge of Truck Driving Regulations: Familiarity with federal, state, and industry rules for driving on public roads and private properties, such as distribution centers.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks, such as getting in and out of the truck multiple times throughout your shift.
• Organizational and Time Management Skills: Essential for ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods.
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Necessary for working effectively with team members, customers, and other stakeholders.
