Job Description:

As an Owner Driver, you will be responsible for managing your vehicle and ensuring timely deliveries to clients. You will be expected to deliver goods efficiently and safely while maintaining the high standards of customer service that Buffalo International Logistics is known for.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and service your vehicle to ensure it is always in good working condition. Address repairs as necessary to maintain its operational efficiency.
• Safety: Operate your vehicle safely at all times, adhering to traffic regulations and ensuring all safety features are in place and used correctly.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all industry laws and regulations, including those relating to permits, insurance, licensing, and taxes.
• Customer Service: Deliver goods to clients professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction by being punctual, courteous, and maintaining high service standards.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation such as logbooks, invoices, receipts, and other necessary paperwork.
• Financial Management: Manage your finances, including budgeting, invoicing clients, tracking expenses, and ensuring prompt payment for services rendered.
• Route Planning: Plan your routes effectively to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Industry Standards: Adhere to any specific industry standards applicable to the goods being transported, such as freight handling, food safety, or hazardous materials regulations.
• Communication: Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, clients, and other stakeholders, updating them on the status of deliveries and any issues that may arise.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years’ driving experience.
• Driver’s license must be 6 years old or older.
• Candidates must be 30 years or older.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking effectively.
• Previous experience in a courier or logistics company is essential.
• Basic technology knowledge and the ability to use a smartphone.
• Own vehicle is preferred but not compulsory.
• Familiarity with route planning and a strong understanding of customer service and satisfaction.
