Position: Professional Long-Distance Driver (24 Ton / 30 Ton / 36 Ton)

About the Role
As a Professional Long-Distance Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across long distances. The role demands high levels of professionalism, adherence to safety standards, and a proven track record in long-distance trucking.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Valid Code 14 (EC) Driver’s License:
    • Your license should be at least 2 years old.
    • If your Code 14 license is 1 year old, you may qualify provided you held a Code 10 license for at least 3 years prior to obtaining your Code 14.
  2. Long-Distance Driving Experience:
    • A minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience is required.
    • You must provide contactable references who can verify your experience.
  3. Age Requirement:
    • Applicants should be between the ages of 25 and 65 years old.
  4. PDP (Professional Driving Permit):
    • Your PDP must be valid for at least 3 months from the date of application.
  5. Documentation:
    • You must present your original ID, driver’s license, and passport (if available).
  6. Citizenship:
    • This opportunity is only open to RSA citizens.
  7. Other Essential Requirements:
    • Medically fit to perform the duties of a professional driver.
    • Availability for testing and training at the depot.

Step 1: Walk-In Applications
Applicants must visit the Uitenhage/Kariega depot during the specified dates to submit their applications in person.

Step 2: Documentation Check
Ensure that you bring all the required documentation, including:

  • Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s license
  • Valid PDP
  • Original ID
  • Passport (if available)

Step 3: Testing and Training
Qualified applicants will undergo a series of assessments to evaluate their driving skills and suitability for the role. The process includes:

  • Practical driving tests for 24 Ton, 30 Ton, and 36 Ton vehicles.
