What This Role Entails

The role involves safely and efficiently transporting goods, maintaining vehicle standards, ensuring compliance with policies and road regulations, and representing the company professionally. As a Hollywoodbets Driver, you are the face of the brand on the road, ensuring goods are delivered on time while maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Transport and Delivery:

• Ensure the safe and timely transport of goods from loading to delivery points.
• Verify that goods match documentation and monitor the loading and unloading process.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed within scheduled timeframes and authorized routes.

Vehicle Management:

• Conduct pre-trip, on-route, and post-trip inspections using prescribed forms.
• Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle.
• Report vehicle issues immediately and ensure no damaged or defective vehicle is operated without repair.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
• Refrain from driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, with random testing conducted.
• Follow all instructions from supervisors and immediately report any incidents, delays, or issues.

Customer Service and Communication:

• Interact with customers professionally, addressing inquiries and notifying them of any changes.
• Ensure positive representation of Hollywoodbets by maintaining a courteous and professional appearance.

Operational Tasks:

• Manage relevant documentation, including trip sheets and incident reports.
• Safeguard handheld machines and collected cash.
• Transport team members and guests as directed.
• Inform management of any changes to goods or services, including price adjustments.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Code 10 driver’s license.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PRDP).
• At least 5 years’ driving experience.
• Sound geographical knowledge of Durban and surrounding areas.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in hospitality or food and beverage industries.
• Completion of advanced driver or courtesy training.
