Job Overview

As a Donor Attendant/Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our blood donor clinics. You will be responsible for transporting staff and equipment safely, setting up clinics, interacting with donors, and assisting with the entire donation process. This position requires someone who is well-spoken, well-groomed, and dedicated to delivering top-notch customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport and Setup:
  • Safely transport staff and clinic equipment to and from various venues.
  • Assist in carrying and assembling clinic equipment.
• Donor Assistance:
  • Prepare donors for donation and monitor them throughout the process.
  • End the bleeding process and handle any adverse reactions with care.
• Customer Interaction:
  • Interact with donors, providing excellent customer service.
  • Ensure accuracy in data collection and maintain attention to detail.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure the clinic runs smoothly.
  • Be willing to “go the extra mile” to ensure donor satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Matric Certificate.
• License: A Code EC1 or EC driver’s license without endorsements and a valid PrDP with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Relocation: Willingness to relocate to the George area.
• Skills:
  • Computer skills (course is advantageous).
  • First Aid Qualification (advantageous).
• Working Hours: Must be flexible, with variable hours, shift work, weekend work, and call-outs required.
