We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Code 14 Truck Driver with a valid PDP to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities
- Communication:
- Keep dispatchers, clients, and site staff informed about load specifics, schedules, and any potential delays or issues.
- Transporting Materials:
- Safely transport materials from suppliers to sites, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Route Planning:
- Consider traffic and weather conditions when planning routes to guarantee on-time delivery of goods.
- Safe Operation of Trucks:
- Operate trucks to move large goods, such as machinery and heavy equipment, to designated locations.
- Cargo Security:
- Secure cargo using chains, straps, and covers to prevent movement or damage during transit.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Valid Code 14 Driver’s License with PDP:
- Required for operating heavy-duty vehicles.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience driving a Code 14 truck.
- Driving Record:
- Must have a spotless driving record, demonstrating safety and reliability.
- Heavy Machinery Expertise:
- Proven experience in safely and legally securing and transporting large goods.
- Navigation Skills:
- Ability to interpret and follow route instructions, GPS systems, and maps accurately.
- Communication & Teamwork:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Education:
- Grade 12/High School diploma will be considered a bonus.
