Duties & Responsibilities:

• Efficient Communication:
  • Keep dispatchers, clients, and site staff informed about load specifics, schedules, and any delays or issues that may arise.
• Material Transportation:
  • Transport materials from suppliers to the site, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
• Route Planning:
  • Consider traffic and weather conditions when planning routes to ensure on-time delivery of goods.
• Safe Operation:
  • Safely operate a truck to transport large goods, such as machinery and heavy equipment, to designated locations.
• Cargo Security:
  • Use chains, straps, and covers to securely fasten cargo, preventing movement or damage during transit.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Driver’s License:
  • A valid Code 14 driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP) is required.
• Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience driving a Code 14 truck is essential.
  • Proven expertise in safely and lawfully securing and transporting large goods.
• Driving Record:
  • Must have a spotless driving record, demonstrating a commitment to safety.
• Navigation Skills:
  • Ability to interpret and understand route instructions, GPS systems, and maps.
• Communication Skills:
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Education:
  • Grade 12/High School education is an added bonus.
