Role Purpose
As a Festive Delivery Driver, your primary responsibility is to ensure safe, timely, and efficient delivery of goods while maintaining excellent customer service. From pre-trip inspections to delivering products with accuracy, your role will contribute significantly to the smooth functioning of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed records of daily activities, including mileage, fuel usage, delivery receipts, and incidents, in line with company policies and legal regulations.
- Professional Communication: Build strong relationships with customers, warehouse staff, and team members by addressing concerns or queries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular pre-trip inspections, report any mechanical issues promptly, and ensure your vehicle is kept clean, organised, and roadworthy.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to traffic laws, company policies, and safety guidelines.
- Operate within prescribed safety standards and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Foster a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with company and regulatory safety practices.
- Delivery Operations: Ensure goods are delivered without damage, on time, and with all required documentation in place. Provide excellent customer service during every delivery interaction.
- Support Team Goals:
- Participate in meetings, coaching, and training sessions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Contribute actively to achieving team objectives, especially during the high-demand festive period.
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of driving experience in a similar position.
- Experience in the FMCG retail industry is highly advantageous.
- Licensing: A valid Code 10 driver’s license with a valid PDP.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is an added advantage.
