Purpose of the Position

The purpose of the Salesman Driver role is to support bakery sales growth through efficient product deliveries, excellent customer service, collection of payments, and effective management of bakery sales assets.

The successful candidate will serve as both a delivery driver and sales representative, helping customers receive their orders on time while identifying opportunities to strengthen business relationships.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Delivering bakery products to customers accurately and on schedule.
• Ensuring full and timely deliveries according to customer requirements.
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Supporting bakery sales growth within allocated routes.
• Collecting customer payments where required.
• Managing bakery sales assets responsibly.
• Providing excellent customer service during every customer interaction.
• Maintaining accurate delivery and sales records.
• Promoting company products and identifying sales opportunities.
• Contributing to overall business growth and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• Valid Code 10 (C1) driver’s licence.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Driver’s licence must be at least three years old.
• One to three years of experience in a sales or retail environment.
