Job Overview

Omnia Nutriology is seeking a qualified and safety-conscious Dangerous Goods Driver to join its Fertiliser division in Danielsrus, Free State. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transportation, handling, and delivery of Anhydrous Ammonia and related equipment while ensuring full compliance with dangerous goods legislation, SHEQ standards, and company operating procedures.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Code 14 (EC) driver who is passionate about safety, agriculture, and delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation & Delivery

  • Safely transport and deliver Anhydrous Ammonia and related equipment.
  • Load and offload Anhydrous Ammonia equipment according to approved procedures.
  • Ensure dangerous goods are transported safely and in compliance with legislation.
  • Operate heavy vehicles and specialised equipment responsibly.

Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ)

  • Comply with all SHEQ policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Adhere to dangerous goods transport regulations and company safety standards.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance and off-season operational activities.
  • Maintain a strong safety-first approach at all times.

Administration & Reporting

  • Complete delivery documents and operational reports accurately.
  • Maintain records of deliveries, inspections, and vehicle activities.
  • Report incidents, defects, and operational deviations promptly.

Operational Support

  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Assist with operational activities as required by management.
  • Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Valid Code EC (Code 14) driver’s licence.
  • Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP/PDP).
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience transporting and handling dangerous goods.
  • Experience handling Anhydrous Ammonia will be advantageous.
