Job Overview

PG Primador® is looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Truck Driver to deliver glass and related products to and from customers efficiently and safely.

PG Primador® supplies standard-size, high-quality aluminium door, aluminium window and aluminium shower door frames, as well as glass products. The business is also home to the PG SmartGlass® Academy, which develops and trains skilled glaziers in aluminium and glass installation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining the assigned vehicle, completing all required documentation and providing a high standard of service to customers.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Valid Code 10 or higher driver’s licence
• Valid PrDP
• At least 2 years’ driving experience will be an advantage
• Experience handling and moving dangerous goods
• Experience handling different types of glass products
• Experience in glass handling and quality control
• Knowledge of reading drawings and production orders

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver glass and related products to and from customers safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a good knowledge of roads and delivery routes within the assigned area.
• Ensure the vehicle is regularly maintained and kept clean inside and outside.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report faults immediately.
• Complete daily trip sheets accurately and honestly.

• Complete quality check sheets during loading.
• Assist with loading materials onto the vehicle before departing for deliveries.
• Load and offload materials safely at all times.
• Ensure all required paperwork is completed neatly and accurately.
• Account for all goods being transported and delivered.
• Follow all company work instructions, standard operating procedures and business rules.
• Comply with road traffic regulations, environmental standards, safety requirements and housekeeping procedures.
• Establish and maintain professional working relationships with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Be prepared to work overtime, weekends and rotating shifts when required.
• Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by the Factory Services Manager.

Advantageous Experience
