Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Experience: At least 5 years of proven experience driving flat decks for long-distance trips.
- Licences: A valid Code 14 driver’s licence with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Education: Minimum qualification of Grade 10 (Matric not required).
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills for effective coordination.
- Availability: Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays as needed.
- Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
Key Responsibilities
As a Code 14 Driver at NCMS Transport, your duties will include:
- Safe Transport: Ensuring goods are delivered to various destinations across the country on time and in good condition.
- Documentation: Accurately completing all required logbook entries to maintain compliance with company policies.
- Cargo Supervision: Overseeing the loading and unloading process, ensuring all goods are securely packed and handled with care.
- Vehicle Inspection: Conducting daily checks on the truck to identify and report any damages, maintenance issues, or safety concerns.
